Navigating the Delivery Lifecycle with Keptn

This session introduces the Keptn project, a Kubernetes-native delivery tool, and its Lifecycle Toolkit. The talk covers navigating the Cloud Native world, pipeline-less delivery integrated with GitOps, and bringing observability into the application lifecycle. It also showcases new features, a roadmap, and ways to get involved as an end-user or contributor. The presentation includes a demonstration of the Keptn Lifecycle Toolkit's capabilities in managing application deployments, pre/post-deployment checks, and generating DORA metrics and traces via OpenTelemetry. Discussions also touch upon integrating with existing monitoring solutions and the project's future development plans, including automatic application discovery and context propagation for GitOps.
