Description
This talk provides an update on Envoy Gateway, an open-source Envoy ingress controller built on the Gateway API. It covers recent releases, including support for gRPC, TCP, and UDP routes, as well as request mirroring and response header modification. The presentation also details upcoming features in the 0.4.0 release, such as Helm support, an egctl CLI tool for configuration management and validation, and control plane extensions. The roadmap for future releases, focusing on observability, performance, and scalability, is also discussed.
